My pet isn’t vaccinated. Can I board him?

For your pet's safety and for the safety of all of our guests, we require proof of vaccination within 18 months for serious communicable diseases, or a recommendation from your veterinarian. We accept the three-year cycle for dogs vaccinated at veterinary clinics using that protocol.

Like human colds, because there are several strains of Canine Cough, vaccination is highly recommended, but not essential. To read more about canine cough, please visit the Internet Animal Hospital . The content on this Web site is written by veterinarians.

Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old and have had their last booster shot at minimum two weeks prior to boarding. All dogs 5-years or younger should also have had their vaccinations at minimum two weeks prior to boarding.

The choice to vaccinate or not should be made between you and your veterinarian based on your pet's health needs. For pets who are older or who have certain non-contagious health problems, the health risks posed through vaccination may be greater than the risk of non-vaccination. We accept non-vaccinated pets only after consulting with your veterinarian about their health status and/or antibody titre count verification.

Because of the risk factor, large black and tan colored dogs such as German Sheppards and Dobermans must have current vaccination for Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Hepatitis.

For the comfort and safety of all of our guests, we reserve the right to not accept a pet because of health or behaviorial issues.
